Her passion for poetry was first nurtured by her mother's love of English literature, followed by a number of teachers to whom she owes her informal education, including most recently Robert Priest and Allan Briesmaster. Her experience as journalist for a UK architectural magazine is another influence - Phoebe also holds a degree in Architecture from the University of London, England.
